Terms of Service

Last updated: August 21, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of Word Machine (the "Software"), sold by Levi Saltzman and Lena Moore ("we," "us"). Buying or using the Software means you accept them.

2. What you are buying

One payment of $15, including future updates at no additional cost. There is no subscription and no account. The license key we send you is the whole of it.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software for as long as your license is valid. Do not resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute it or your key. Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble it, except where the law expressly allows this despite the restriction.

3. One device at a time

Install the Software on as many of your own machines as you like. The license runs on one of them at a time: activating it on a machine releases whichever machine held it before, and you can move it back the same way. There is no limit on how often it moves and no charge for moving it.

4. Ownership

The Software is licensed, not sold. We retain all right, title, and interest in it, including all intellectual property rights. These Terms grant you no rights to our trademarks or branding.

Your documents are yours. Nothing here gives us any claim over what you write.

5. Payment & Refunds

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Their terms of service govern payment, billing, and related matters.

If Word Machine is not for you, email us within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund it in full. You do not have to give a reason. A refunded key stops working.

6. No warranty

The Software is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be error-free or uninterrupted.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the Software. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed what you paid.

Keep your own backups. Your documents are ordinary files on your own disk, and looking after them is yours to do.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Software will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use of the Software after a change takes effect means you accept the revised version.
